About Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival 2017

The Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival is now clearly established as one of the premier country racing carnivals in Australia. The Albury Gold Cup is recognised as an icon event for the fast developing city of Albury with a half day public holiday enjoyed by the local community. With a new format in 2017 the first day of the carnival now incorporates the hosting of the SDRA qualifying heat of the Country Championships. Over $850,000 in prizemoney, trophies and bonuses is on offer over two days with the feature race – $180,000 Listed Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup (2000m) run on Friday 24 March. With an array of events and activities on offer in Albury and the surrounds, the Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival is an event not to be missed.

How To Get There: (Friday 24th March Only)
Buses will be operating from central Albury to the racecourse between 11.00am : 2.00pm departing from the following stops every 30 minutes:
Atura Albury (Dean Street) // QEII Square (Dean Street) // Myer Shopping Centre (David Street) // Lavington Shopping Centre (Griffith Road) // Thurgoona Plaza // Thurgoona Drive (opposite St Hillaire) // Elizabeth Mitchell Dr & Quondong Streets
For the return trip, buses will be operating from the racecourse to central Albury between 4.30pm : 8.00pm dropping at Dean St, Lavington Shopping centre & Thurgoona on demand.
Cost of bus travel – $8 return or one way. Payment to be made on the bus.
Car Parking:
There is limited car parking available at the racecourse. Patrons are encouraged to utilise either the bus service or taxis to get to and from the track.
