About Briggs Athletics Classic
The Briggs Athletics Classic will descend on Hobart once again in 2016, doubling as the second-leg of the nationwide Australian Athletics Tour.
Set to run, jump and throw their way toward qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games on Saturday 13 February, the nation’s best athletes will compete at the Domain Athletics Centre including middle distance charges Collis Birmingham (Vic) and Brett Robinson (Vic), Australian 400m hurdles champion Lauren Wells (ACT) and local favourites Jack Hale (Tas), a sprinter, and Hamish Peacock (Tas), the Commonwealth Games javelin bronze medallist.
