The AWO Chamber Music Festival in the NSW Southern Highlands is a weekend of breathtaking music presented in intimate venues with fabulous country hospitality. The intimacy of this festival allows the audience to get up close and personal with some of Australia's finest classical musicians from the international stage.

On Saturday night we return to the wonderful Robertson Hotel in Robertson, just 20 minutes out of Bowral, where the remarkable acoustics in its famous ballroom provide a stunning location for our concert with a sparkling wine and canapé supper. Delight in the Beethoven and the Dohnanyi serenades for string trio; enjoy both the effervescence and ancient stillness of the music of Ross Edwards – our Saturday night composer in focus; be charmed by the wit and humour of the music of Malcolm Arnold; and meet the players over a glass of wine after the concert.

Why not stay overnight at The Robertson Hotel and join us for breakfast on the Sunday morning before heading to Sunday’s “Fandango!”.

On Sunday, celebrate Southern Highlands history at our late-morning concert at the grand estate of Hopewood House. Relax and savour the Mozart Divertimento and Mendelssohn String Symphony No.1 in the amphitheatre located in the beautiful gardens of Hopewood House. In the second half of the concert swoon to the sounds of jazz and tango classics with music by our Sunday composer in focus, local identity Ann Carr-Boyd AM. Featuring a string quintet and saxophone, plus this years’ special guest virtuoso piano accordionist Marcello Maio, this concert is in honour of The Hopewood Family.

Join us after the concert for a delicious rustic country lunch with wines available for purchase, and soak up the atmosphere of one of the most picturesque gardens and impressive historic estates in the Southern Highlands.
