About The Wonderland of North West Australia: Historical films from 1917 & 1926

Two short silent films showing some of the earliest footage of Broome and the Kimberley coast will presented by the Broome Historical Society in the historic Sailmaker’s shed. Made in 1917 and 1926, each film presents images of what was considered of interest about Broome, the pearling industry, and the north west, to western audiences in Australia and overseas at the time.

Indigenous people are advised that the films include images of deceased people and some footage may be offensive.
