About Develop yourself as a Manager Corporate Services

As a Manager Corporate Services, you have a varied and often complex role that includes (among many other things!) managing people, resources and finances.

The purpose of the workshops is to help you clarify your role and responsibilities, as well as support you to be the best you can be in that role.

The three sessions are designed for current Managers Corporate Services, as well as those aspiring to and/or acting in the role.

Session 1

Develop a better understanding of the role, particularly as it relates to Department of Education WA guidelines.  You will gain an understanding of the Competency Framework and how you can work towards developing your skills and knowledge.

Session 2

Be your best self in the workplace.  This session will look at how you operate and how to work, as effectively as possible, with others in your workplace.

Session 3

Demystify recruitment.  Better understand the application process from start to finish and how to best interpret the selection criteria as an applicant and member of the selection panel.

Participants will attend all three (3) sessions throughout the day.

Jackie Watt has extensive experience in consulting and human resource management for Department of Education staff in Western Australia.

Jill Proctor has extensive experience working for the Department of Education and more recently as a facilitator at the Institute for Professional Learning.

Carol Scott has extensive experience working for the Department of Education and more recently as a facilitator at the Institute for Professional Learning.

All stationery, handouts, morning tea and lunch are provided.
