About Sing-along Messiah
Massed Choir Participants include the weekend of workshops plus the concert – Registrations close strictly on Friday 17 November.
You can also purchase audience concert tickets for your family and friends above.
Program for the weekend:
Saturday 25 Nov – arrive at 9.00 am, register and receive your concert t-shirt. We will then rehearse as a group before enjoying an early lunch between 11:15 and 12:45 at one of the many outlets within a short stroll of our venue. In the afternoon we will have sectional rehearsals (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) with afternoon tea provided. You’ll be finished for the day by 4:30pm.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
Sunday 26 Nov – please arrive ready to sing in the church at 10:00am as a massed choir. You’ll have another early lunch break between 11:00 and 12:00 before we need you back in the church to be placed on the stage and have a last run through. The doors for concert will open at 1:30, ready to perform at 2:00pm.
The concert will be from 2:00 – 3.30 pm. You can order tickets for your friends and family on this website!
What to bring:
- Your registration ticket (which will be emailed to you)
- Your own black-covered copy of the choral score of Handel’s Messiah (the Novello Watkins Shaw edition if possible).
- A pencil
- Water to drink
- Lunch, or money to buy it!
- Wear comfy clothes on Saturday
- Sunday – wear your concert t-shirt and black trousers or a long black skirt (below the knee)
Your registration includes:
- A performance t-shirt
