About Gazelle Holland Festival
The Gazelle Holland Festival - April 8th 2017, will be the re-incarnation of the 40 yr old Holland Festival. It will be held at the Berwick Show-grounds. There will be 35+ Dutch Food offerings including hot and cold foods, both savoury & sweet as well as beer, wine and Jenever. The Dutch love their foods and these will be a powerful attractor for the Dutch community and those of Dutch Heritage.
The City of Casey that controls the Berwick Show-grounds (also known as Akoonah Park) are thrilled to have a Multi Cultural event that has been a proven success, moving to their city.
There will be continuous entertainment both inside and outside from 10.45am till 10pm - bands, choirs and singers performing both Dutch and English songs on both stages. There will even be clog dancers. An all-day sjoelbak tournamentfor all age groups is also planned with over $5000 in prizes for the winners.
Carnival rides for the littlies and many other Dutch experiencesand fun activities are all there to make it a wonderful family fun day.
There will also be cultural exhibits such as an exhibit from the Dutch Australian Heritage Club, artist and authors and more.
Come and take your photo with the whole family in the largest wooden clog in the Southern Hemisphere
Dutch businesses and businesses dealing with Holland or owned by people of Dutch Heritage and importers will also have a presence. You will be able to buy Dutch Groceries and cheeses, Dutch Souvenirs and much, much more.
A major sponsor “Gazelle Bicycles” has been signed and there are already many other sponsors including Tesselaars - Silvan of Tulip Festival fame, Scholten, Collins, McKissock Financial Advisers, MiCare/DutchCare, Stockade Productions, The Dutch Courier, Broersen Bulbs, van Diemen Bulbs, and many more.
100% of net proceeds will go to charities and Rotary community service projects.
