About 29th Illawarra Autumn Jazzfest

We are aiming for a bigger and better festival in 2015, and the best thing about our Jazzfest is that it’s held on the first weekend in May which allows us to take advantage of a lovely Autumn weekend.

We aspire to create a really social feel to our festival where locals, musicians and music lovers can gather to share a common love of jazz music.

The Corrimal Hotel will be filled with varying styles of jazz music, trad, dixieland, latin, swing, rhythm and blues, funk and reggae. Two and a half days of jam packed fun and above all else, excellent music.

As a tempter, we have included a list of some of this year’s bands:
The Jungle Kings, The Aston Martinis, The Pocket Trio, The New Wobbly Boot, The Australian Army Big Band (Camouflage), The Jive Bombers, Unity Hall Jazz Band featuring Dan Barnett and Ben Jones, Dorothy Jane Band, Don Hopkins Trio, Straight No Chaser, Mike Hallam’s Hot 6, The Terence Koo Trio, Captain Bob’s Stationhouse Seven and many more to come…

On Sunday, 3rd May, we will host our Jazz Breakfast featuring Murphy’s Trio for only $10 & Gospel Service at Corrimal Uniting Church featuring the Belmore Basin Jazz Band and Guest Vocalists.

So why not come to Wollongong for the weekend. If you are coming from Sydney you can take the scenic route and head on down via the Seacliff Bridge….stay in the “Gong” and enjoy our heavenly beaches, fine food and the best jazz music we can offer.
