About Margaret Brandman Music HIGHLIGHTS & PREMIERES

Margaret Brandman’s internationally-recorded music is frequently aired on ABC Classic, Fine Music (Sydney), and Eastside Radio.  In 2019 and 2021 she received the award for ‘Best Foreign Composition' from the Artemis Film Festival in Los Angeles, for her orchestral works ‘Firestorm Symphony’, and ‘Spirit Visions’, released by Parma Recordings.

Her compositions range from richly-melodic modern classical styles to highly rhythmic pieces in Latin-American dance genres.

Come along to enjoy Australia’s finest performers presenting vocal and instrumental highlights from the Brandman collection together with premieres of exciting new works for violin, cello, and string ensemble.

Premieres include works from Margaret Brandman’s newly released ‘Binna Burra Dreaming’ album for ‘cello and piano, and ‘La Vida Apasionada’ (A passionate life) an exhilarating suite of Latin-American influenced works performed and recorded by Vov Dylan and the quintet from the Palace Orchestra.
