Join artist Yvonne Dalton for a composite jewellery making workshop using an array of upcycled materials. Learn how to combine techniques such as macramé, wrapping, stitching and French knitting to create unique wearable art. A great range of recycled materials from the recreate store will be available to incorporate and embellish your jewellery piece; from belt buckles, curtain cords, copper wire, electrical ’waste’, baling twine & more!
Your completed wearable art will be ready to adorn a special outfit or will make a lovely gift. This workshop will give you the skills and confidence to complete many more wonderful jewellery pieces using a variety of reclaimed materials. These same techniques can easily be applied to other creative works such as wall hangings.
A multi-discipline artist based in the Barossa Valley, Yvonne largely uses recycled and reclaimed materials in her work and enjoys sharing her skills and enthusiasm for rethinking waste.
