Design, create and grout your own mosaics. Upcycling a range of recycled broken crockery & tile offcuts, you will learn two different mosaic techniques.  Participants will make a mosaic ’crazy’ paver using a ‘quick’ technique that is perfect for reusing lots of broken crockery and assorted tiles to fill your garden with stepping stones.  The second piece will enable you to develop your own mosaic design and learn techniques to create your own creature feature mosaic rock.  Safe tool use, design, adhesives, surface preparation, ceramic shaping, and grouting methods will be covered.  The second session will enable both pieces to be grouted & finished.  This workshop is suitable for beginners and those who want to extend their mosaic  experiences.  Your completed pieces will be ready to take home and install in your garden, or will make a lovely gift.  This workshop will give you the skills and confidence to complete many more wonderful mosaic pieces for your home and garden.

Participants to bring workers gloves, safety glasses, and a garden stone (approx. dinner plate size), and any special pieces of crockery / tiles you have been saving (optional).  If you don’t have a nice rock we will have some to choose from on the day. All other materials and tools provided.

Tea/ Coffee & light refreshments provided.  Fridge and microwave facilities available if you want to bring your own lunch, or nearby lunch options available.
