It’s Amazing How Music Can Connect Souls!
Two men with a goal created a memorable musical experience for their Community, and in so doing raised funds for a far distant Community in need. That’s exactly how the first Music on the Rangecame to be in 2016.
The vision started out with “Music on the Hillside” in 2015, held at the Karana Downs Uniting Church in the bushy, hilly West of Brisbane.
Local pianist, Bruce Ramm, and fellow Karana Downs Uniting Church mover-and-shaker, Ray Crompton had a dream to hold a unique concert to raise funds for the Frontier Services Cunnamulla Project, who badly needed funds for repairs and resources. And so they did. With heart-warming, resounding success.
Enjoyed by all, not least by the musicians and singers, “Music on the Hillside” extended to “Music on the Range” and was welcomed by the Middle Ridge Uniting Church, with the first event being held there in November 2016.
So well-received and thoroughly enjoyable were all the original concerts, Music on the Range 2017 is now planned for 2PM Saturday 23rd September 2017.
The artists are equally passionate about playing together to create beautiful music, an uplifting and memorable experience for their audience and raising funds to help the cause.
Directed by, and accompanied on piano by, Bruce Ramm, the awe-inspiring talents of Katie Stenzel (soprano), Jessica Low (soprano), Nick Kirkup (tenor), Jon Maskell (baritone), Laura Thomson (violin), Helentherese Good (violin), Allan Hall (cello), Jonathon Farquhar (clarinet) and Cameron Kennedy (percussion) will amaze, entertain and delight you. We promise!
