About Rise of the Eco-Warriors, Northholm Grammar School Movie Screening
Rise of the Eco-Warriors is a feature length documentary that follows the adventures of 15 young people from nine countries who spend 100 days in the jungles of Borneo.
Their mission is to search for and implement solutions to the rampant destruction of the forests that is ripping apart the local Dayak communities and destroying habitat of endangered orangutans.
An extremely touching film which sees young adults endeavouring to make a difference. It makes you realise what can be done. Ben Dessen, a local from Dural is one of these amazing young Eco Warriors and will be attending the event to talk personally about the plight of these amazing animals and his own experiences.
Proceeds from this screening go to support the Northholm Association and “Canopy Indonesia” (an NGO working in Tembak).
