Miles4Miles is a community event aimed at all types of abled and disabled people to come together and raise funds for Special Olympics Moreton North athletes. You can participate in a 2km or 5km course, or take a stroll lakeside in a gentle all abilities 800m course. Please join us for a fun morning in the park with friends and family! Grab a friend, make a team-show your support for these athletes and the organisation which changes lives of people with intellectual impairment through sport!


Miles Fisher and Trent Porter, local boys of the Special Olympics Moreton North club have been selected to represent QLD at the Trans-Tasman Games in New Zealand in November 2016. Each needs $2500 to get there...

DECLARATION

18 years and over: By completing the registration form, I certify I have read and accept the terms and conditions for participation in this event.


Under 18 years:  By completing the registration form, I certify I am the parent/ guardian of the participant who is under 18 years and I give my consent for them to participate in this event.  I accept the terms and conditions on behalf of the participant.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, participants release event organisers, from all claims connected with participation. Participants indemnify the event organisers, sponsors and volunteers involved in this event directly or indirectly against all liability for any and all injury, loss or damage connected with the entrant’s participation.

 - I acknowledge that participating in this event may put me at risk of injury or death including but not limited to over-exertion, dehydration and accidents with other participants, spectators or road users and I accept all liability for any injury I may incur as a result of participating in the event.

- I agree to take all care to ensure that I do not cause any harm or injury to any other participant or spectator during this event.

- Payment must be made via Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard or Visa) at the time of registration.

- I understand that compulsory insurance cover affected for participants in the event may not cover me for any or all injury, loss or damage sustained by me.

- Participants consent to follow all directions by event organisers in relation to this event.

- I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for the safekeeping of personal possessions at the event.

- Safety precaution undertaken by organisers (such as course supervision and run safety briefings) are a service to me and other participants but are not a guarantee of safety.

- I consent to the use of my name, voice or picture in any broadcast, report, advertising promotion or other account of this event and confirm that I am not entitled to make any charge for that use.

- Event organisers may change the format, course or other race conditions at their discretion. If that occurs, this agreement applies to the changed conditions.

- Each participant agrees to abide by any advice given by the event medical officers regarding their health, and consent to receive and pay for any medical treatment, including transport by ambulance, required before, during or after the event.

- Participants acknowledge that should they withdraw for a non-medical reason or should the event be cancelled or changed due to reasons beyond the control of the event organisers such as safety reasons or extreme weather conditions, the entry fee is non-refundable and no liability of any kind will attach to any person, organisation or body engaged in promoting or staging this event.

- Bikes, skateboards, rip sticks, rollerblades or similar items are prohibited for safety reasons. Children in strollers/ prams are welcomed but must commence at the rear of the run start. Strollers and similar devices must meet Australian Safety Standards and have appropriate safety restraints.
