About March: Enda Kenny / The Good Questions
Enda Kenny
Enda Kenny is an Irish-Born songwriter who has made his home in Melbourne, Australia since the late 1980's. His thoughtful, descriptive stories of his adoptive homeland have struck a chord with festival audiences all over Australia and are always memorable and spiced with plenty of humour. Proud to sing of where he lives rather than where he left, he continues to grow his international audience with recent trips to Germany, Holland, UK, NZ and Canada.
Celebrating three decades of proudly independent Australian original music with an Irish accent. Enda is a songwriter who draws you in with subtlety, simplicity and everpresent humour. You’ll find yourself singing aling, laughing along and wrapped up in the emotion and the journey of each song.
After a decade of juggling performance with a career in Public Housing, the release of Heart Tattoo allowed a return to full-time music in 2013. He has played live shows in eight countries since then and continues to grow his reputation as a cracking solo entertainer through extensive touring in the northern summers.
Enda has just released Kitchen Ballads, his eighth independent recording featuring eleven new original songs and a couple of favourites from his live shows.
"On small stages to intimate audiences or large stages to festival audiences he always holds the crowd in the palm of his hand. Witty and intelligent songwriting and a brilliant night's entertainment" Eleanor McEvoy.
"The finest Irish songwriter living overseas" Colum Sands
The Good Questions (support)
The good questions observe the wonder of life, the universe and everything and express their musings into song. From emotionally introspective soundscapes to some good ol' rock n roll and everything in between, the good questions will take you on a journey to the centre of the earthling. It all comes down to hydrogen, gravity and time.
Born from a collaboration between Marta Bayly and Simon Frank Molloy, The good Questions brings forth a fresher sound to the Adelaide music scene. Ethereal chorused guitars blending perfectly with acoustic sounds, and well written songs. Bayly and Molloy share the vocals on stage, Bayly’s beautiful voice perfectly complements Molloy’s huskier tones and the combination of Clermont’s smooth lead guitar with Bayly’s pizzicato uke is captivating.
The Good Questions are Simon Frank, Marta Bayly, Alex Clermont, Craig Lauritsen and Paul Rupinskas
