Join us as we celebrate National Reconciliation Week and farewell our Director of Indigenous Education, Peter Aldenhoven.
This year’s Reconciliation Dinner will be a relaxed, stand-up and mingle event, in the new Homestead 6 building at the Senior Campus of Woodleigh School. Join Peter and others for drinks and dinner by Finesse Catering Group as we celebrate his contribution to our school.
Peter Aldenhoven has taught at Woodleigh School for more than 20 years. In this time, he has established the Reconciliation Program at our Minimbah and Senior Campuses. In his role as Director of Indigenous Education, Peter has taught extensively at all three campuses.
He initiated Woodleigh's Indigenous Exchange Programs with the remote communities of Miwatj and Ampilatwatja, and in recent years has supported the Penbank Campus's partnership with Wugularr School in Beswick, NT.
Peter is a proud, passionate Aboriginal man who has established an amazing Indigenous Education Program at Woodleigh, educating the entire school community. In 2012, Peter initiated the annual Woodleigh School Reconciliation Dinner.
We are proud to be able to continue this tradition in 2018, celebrating National Reconciliation Week and the inspirational teachings of Peter Aldenhoven.
