Join us for live music, refreshments and a silent auction to raise funds for UNHCR working in Afghanistan. As one of the few places not in lock down we would like to make the most of our freedom, to build a sense of goodwill and community at a time when there is significant turmoil across the globe.

Since the start of the year, nearly 550,000 Afghans have been newly displaced inside the country due to insecurity, violence and serious human rights issues, with families being forced to flee for their lives. Especially concerning is the impact of the conflict on women and girls. Some 80 per cent of those displaced since the end of May are women and children.

UNHCR is well prepared to stay and deliver humanitarian assistance and support to the Afghan people in a complex, dynamic and challenging security environment.

This will be an enjoyable, environmentally conscious event which will abide by all COVID safe requirements.
