About Evidence Based Practice for Students Impacted by Trauma - 4 Part Series
Online Professional Learning - 4 Part Series
Presented by Simone Collier
Teachers are working with children each day who have experienced multi-layered complex and dynamic childhood trauma, loss and disrupted attachments. Relational and developmental trauma and toxic stress impacts children's bodies, brains, relationships, behaviours, cognitions and emotions.
This presentation series relates to relational and developmental trauma and the impacts for teachers in the classroom when working to engage children with dysregulated behaviours. The goals for this series are to better understand relational and developmental trauma, the impact of this in the classroom, and how teachers can help students impacted by trauma to develop their resilience.
