About Book Talk: Songspirals
Songspirals (Allen & Unwin, 2019) is a profound illumination of Yolŋu women’s role in crying the songlines and a radically different way of understanding humans and their place within the environment. In this special presentation, join members of the Gay’wu collective, the ‘dilly bag women’s group’, who, through a decade long deep collaboration between five Yolŋu women and three non-Aboriginal women, have co-authored this book and others. Today they share from this journey of tears, understanding, surprises and wisdom. This is a privileged opportunity to hear from the authors of a book which will change the way you see country.
