Camden Park House and Garden Spring Open Weekend

Camden Park House was designed by colonial architect John Verge and completed in 1835 for Australian wool industry pioneers John and Elizabeth Macarthur.  Still occupied by Macarthur descendants after 191 years, Camden Park House is a private family home and one of Australia’s most important heritage houses.

Immerse yourself in history while touring the heritage house and then wander through the beautiful colonial garden at its spring peak. Established in the 1820’s the Camden Park garden contains many rare botanical species including the oldest surviving camellia in Australia. The magnificent wisteria hedge bordering the verandah is a must see! Enjoy a Devonshire Tea while relaxing in the garden - Plants from the garden will be available for sale.

Guided House Tours, Devonshire Teas and Baked Goods, Barista Coffee, Plant and Gift Stalls, BBQ or BYO picnic, Heritage Walks, Garden Tours and free Children’s Activities.
