About In Three Words: Being and Belonging

Commoners Press will host a studio with two afternoons of interaction, making and thinking about creative communities through design-making.

We invite members of the Geelong public to visit to the Commoners Press studio, learn about the craft of industrial letterpress printing, its operations and aspirations, and to take part in a collaborative public printing project.

We invite participants to contribute their own 'three words' responses to a participatory book project using the prompt: what makes your local community livable? And to join us to discuss how the nature of printing is changing and how creative practice is contributing to creation of communities?

Event 1: Tuesday 22 March 3-5pm, public workshop: participatory printing project
Event 2: Saturday 26 March 4-6pm, round table and local pop-up showcase of workshop outcomes from both Melbourne and Geelong Design Week

This event takes place in conjunction with Melbourne Design Week and Melbourne Artists Book Fair 2022.
