Come and join an immersive soundwalk with Geelong born artist Lucy Allinson. Have you ever thought about what your sonic map might sound like? Lucy is a local sound artist and is conducting a soundwalk workshop, aiming to give participants a new appreciation and sonic awareness of their surroundings. Learn about listening and the effects humans have on our sonic world. A simple drawing exercise will be conducted to allow one to start the simple act of listening. Lucy will then guide individuals from Geelong Botanic Gardens to Johnstone's Park where she will stop along the way and direct participants to listen accordingly. A conversation will be led once at the final destination to allow everyone to share their experience.
