Recently I became aware that 2024 marked the 30 year mark of my dj career. A rollicking 30 year adventure of piping music onto dance floors and playing the companion piece to countless dance journeys. It has been enriching, rewarding, challenging and constant. It is the thing I have given the most of my self to,  the most of my time to, the thing I have done the longest and the thing I am best at. Most of all it has granted me the most profound and unexpected privilege: the opportunity to share myself and to be received in that sharing. Again and again. It sounds simple but it is the essence of what it is to feel connection and it is my most cherished gift. You gave it to me and I will be forever grateful. I wanted to acknowledge the journey and mark it. And ultimately I felt the best way was to extend to opportunity to two friends and colleagues who have been an inspiration to me and who have also crossed the 30 year threshold, albeit silently. And whilst silence is not entirely absent in what we do it is also, quite simply not what we do. So let’s make some noise. 

WAX 100 is a singular event; as in it’s the only one and it stands alone as an occasion where each of Andrew, Chris and I will play sets that, each in our own way to celebrate and encapsulate our 30+ years of dj’ing.

We have been blessed over these years to share what we do with so many of you who have invested your time and energy and belief in us. So let’s do it again, for all of the times past, for our friends with us and those who have left us and for those we are yet to meet. We invite you to come and join us on this particular iteration of our dj adventures. It all happens on the dance floor. As it always has.

The venue, Joey Small’s is super cute and comfortable with a few distinct zones:
1. The front section with comfy booth seating and tables
2. The open air dance floor replete with a humming little Funktion One PA and shade sails
3. A back yard open air space

The venue has just opened their kitchen and will be offering Mexican food from 4pm at the WAX Lyrical Luncheon, see below. 

WAX Lyrical Luncheon
You’re invited to join us for a sit down lunch & hosted Q&A where Andrew, Chris and Simon share stories and answer questions drawing on their 100 years of combined participation in the cultural landmark that was once known as the Rave Scene. 

Arrive at 4pm for shared vegan Mexican tapas plates and drinks and an open conversation. The Wax Lyrical Luncheon ticket is inclusive of food, your first margarita and entry to the main event. The WAX100 Lyrical Luncheon is an event within the event and is an optional extra. 

The event has two different start times:

4pm if you are coming to the WAX Lyrical Luncheon.

6pm for the main event. 

Tickets for the main event are capped at 120. There will be a very small allocation of tickets on the door.

Tickets for the Luncheon are limited to 20
