FantaSciiCon – Gold Coast’s Ultimate Fantasy & Sci-Fi Convention

Taking place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December 2025 at the Southport Community Centre, FantaSciiCon is a two-day celebration of the stories, worlds, and fandoms we love. Whether you’re a reader, gamer, cosplayer, artist, maker, or creator, this event is your gateway to a universe of inspiration.
From epic tales of magic and dragons to mind-bending science fiction adventures, FantaSciiCon brings together the best of speculative fiction under one roof. Attendees can meet and connect with local and interstate authors, explore unique creations from talented artists and makers, discover innovative worlds in tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs), and shop for books, art, collectibles, and fandom merchandise.

Have you ever wanted to embody your inner witch and make a magic potion? Join the Ravensridge Emporium potion workshop and learn to create your very own magic potion.

Understanding the elements of fable. Participants write a short flash fiction fable based on a determined writing prompt.

Looking at the elements of fairytale characters and structures. Participants develop their own original fairytale idea.

Gabian Marin Myth making for writers and create practitioners - 2 hours
looking at the elements of myth, through myth discussion, creative and writing prompts. Participants create their own modern myth story outline or creative poem or flash fiction inspired by myth elements.
