About MOUNT ROLAND FOLK FESTIVAL 2021
A weekend of folky fun in the foothills of Mount Roland. There'll be the best modern Tasmanian folk music alongside good ol' fashioned song and tune sessions, practical workshops, talks and dances. To see this year's line-up go to www.mountrolandfolkfest.org
MRFF is a Folk Federation of Tasmania event, and as such tickets are on sale to FolkTas members one week earlier than to non-members. Anyone can become a member at any time, just go to www.folktas.org.
Tickets are likely to sell out quickly, and we are very sorry to anyone who misses out, especially to locals and festival-goers from the last two years. It is an intentionally small festival, but unfortunately made even smaller by Covid-19 restrictions. We look forward to having more of us in the future.
The festival does not offer its own accommodation, but here are two good options for people coming from further afield:
1) There is a caravan park directly adjacent to the festival site called Gowrie Park Wilderness Village. You can view their accommodation options at www.gowriepark.com.au. Gowrie Park will only be taking bookings for the festival via email, which is info@gowriepark.com.au (there is limited capacity, so bookings will be prioritised and allocated by the time that the email is sent - include your phone number when you send an email). Please ensure you have a festival ticket before making a booking.
2) There is a free campsite 800m down the road called O'Neills Creek Campground. There are toilet facilities here but no showers, and the road to get from the campground to the campsite is a main road.
