About 41st Harden and District Picnic Race Meeting 2024

The enjoyable and ‘must attend’ social event on Harden’s calendar is just around the corner, scheduled for Saturday 26th October 2024.

Our annual ‘Picnics’ are a great promotion of our district and regularly draw crowds of more than 1500 people. Crowds travel from across the state, including race goers from: Sydney, Southern Highlands, Australian Capital Territory, South Coast, Riverina, Central West and locally within our South West Slopes areas.

The Club’s 41st Annual Meeting will be a 6 event race meeting, fielding between 8 to 10 horses per race. Owners and trainers appreciate the strong competition and the rich prize money on offer. Sky Racing provides television coverage of the MVRC Cox Plate meeting and all other metropolitan and provincial race meetings. Bookmakers and a tote cover the local races, as well as metropolitan races.

Our ‘Picnics’ is all about friends getting together and having a good time. Many race-goers use our meeting as an opportunity to celebrate family reunions, special birthdays and hens and bucks parties. The ‘Fashions on the Field’ event always proves to be very popular with entrants going above and beyond to put themselves in the running for fantastic cash prizes worth $3000.
