Event Details: The Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival is where history collides with imagination. Step into a vibrant world of colour, music, and myth as the grounds transform into a bustling medieval marketplace filled with artisans, traders, and whimsical vendors offering handcrafted treasures and fantastical delights. Live music and roaming performances set the mood, carrying you through eras both ancient and imagined with melodies that echo across the festival. Throughout the day, the clash of steel and the thrum of bowstrings signal thrilling combat and archery demonstrations, bringing the spirit of the medieval world roaring to life. Whether you arrive as a seasoned adventurer or a first-time wanderer, the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival invites you to connect, explore, and uncover a little magic of your own.

Early Entry Details - Step into the festival an hour before the gates open (9am) and claim your advantage. Wander the markets before the crowds, seize your first morning caffeinated elixir without the line, and soak in the sights and sounds in calm before the storm. Early Entry ticket holders are also guaranteed a prime spot on the grandstand for the day’s first Joust, watching brave knights clash in all their glory with a select crowd cheering alongside you. VIP Banquet Details - Feast, music, and revelry await as the festival begins with a grand medieval banquet on the evening of Saturday 15th August. VIP guests will enjoy a welcome drink on arrival with a hearty buffet feast, and live music from our skalds as the night comes alive. Dine alongside the festival’s monarchs, committee, and travelling re-enactors, the very people who bring this realm to life, before the night continues. Cash bar will be serving mead, mulled wine, and other beverages.


VIP Experience – Important Information
The VIP Banquet will take place on Saturday 15th August 2026 at Cluden Park.
VIP guests are invited to enter through the gates from 6:30pm, with the Banquet experience commencing at 7:30pm.

Partial Conditions of Entry:

- No Outside Beverages (apart from bottled water) are to be brought into the venue. Doing so may revoke your ticket with no refund. It is a condition of entry to this festival that all bags/containers will be subject to a full search at the time of entry to the venue. Refusal to consent to a search WILL prevent entry to the event, without refund. Any prohibited items found will be confiscated and not returned

- Cluden Park is a licenced venue. All patrons seeking alcohol service must present valid age identification. Any patron that becomes aggressive or violent towards our bar staff or volunteers will be excluded from the venue with no refunds given. Criminal charges may also be pressed if police become involved. 

- There is no smoking within the venue for any reason, this includes vaping. Under the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 (Qld) smoking is prohibited in all areas of the Stadium and its precincts. Guests who smoke in the Stadium a) commit an offence against the Act, to which fines apply; and b) may be immediately evicted from the event. There are designated smoking/vaping areas in close proximity to the event that will be pointed out by signage and staff.

-Townsville Medieval and Fantasy reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron whose behaviour, language or dress conflicts with our family friendly event policy. Tickets may or may not be refunded based on compliance of patron.

Concessions accepted:
- Pensioners with a current Pensioner Concession Card from any Australian state or territory.
- Veterans with a white or gold Veteran Card or DVA Health Card
- Seniors with a valid Seniors Card from any state or territory
- Tertiary/post-secondary students with valid student ID card.
*Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

-This is a family-friendly event; however, some vendors may display or sell artwork and products of a mature nature. Parental and guardian discretion is advised, and supervision of children remains the responsibility of the parent or guardian at all times.
