Join us during the October school holidays at the School of Languages for Languages Alive!

Discover and learn about new languages and cultures with the School of Languages! Our school will be holding interactive activities for students from Reception to Year 6 where they will explore new languages and cultures!

Exposure to learning languages is central to developing cultural understanding in young people. A key aim of all activities will be to provide participants language learning opportunities in a range of languages. Please refer to each venue for the specific languages offered.

Where: Athelstone Primary School - 8 Brookside Road, Athelstone

When: Wednesday 7 October  

(Registration) 9:30am (Start) 9:45am – 3:15pm

How much: $10 per student per day; School Card/Health Care Card Holders: FREE

Languages: Indonesian, Korean, Italian

Note re Athelstone Vacation Care:

Languages Alive at Athelstone PS is offered in collaboration with Athelstone Vacation Care.

All students participating in Vacation Care on this day will attend Languages Alive, please register as normal via OSHC.

Please note that children will need to wear comfortable clothing; including a hat, and bring a bottled drink (water only), a snack and a packed lunch.  This event is nut-free; do not pack any foods contain nuts/nut products. There will be no catering facilities on site.

Children will be organised in approximately aged-based groups, junior, middle and upper primary, depending on total registration numbers. This is so that activities can be tailored to the learning and social needs and interests of each level. Younger children in particular feel more comfortable grouped with similar aged peers. If your child would feel more comfortable with an in-class buddy, we suggest they invite a similar aged friend to attend with them. Please note that changes to groups are unable to be made on the day of the event.
