Join us during the July school holidays at the Alberton Primary School for Languages Alive!

Discover and learn about new languages and cultures with the School of Languages! Our school will be holding interactive cultural activities for students from Reception to Year 6 where they will explore new languages and cultures!

Exposure to learning languages is central to developing cultural understanding in young people. A key aim of all activities will be to provide participants language learning opportunities in a range of languages, including Auslan, French and Indonesian.

Where? Alberton Primary School, 14 Broad Street, QUEENSTOWN

When? Tuesday July 19^th (Registration) 9:15am (Start) 9:45am – 3:30pm

How much? $10 per student per day; School Card/Health Care Card Holders: FREE

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE TO ACTIVITY GROUPS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. If you have special requests for being in the same group with sibling/friend, you must provide details on the registration form.

Please note that all children will need to wear comfortable clothing; including a hat, and bring a bottled drink (water only), a snack and a packed lunch.  There will be no catering facilities on site.

THIS IS A NUT FREE EVENT.

Please be aware that during Languages Alive! events we will be following COVID-19 SA Health and the Department for Education advice, to maintain the health and safety of participants. This will include the following measures:
- Wiping down desks with sanitiser
- Asking participants to wash their hands before and after sessions, when they go to toilet and during the break.
- Reminding participants to cough/sneeze into their elbows or into a tissue (and dispose of it immediately).
- Maintaining social distance from others, as far as it is practical
- As directed by SA Health Regulations any child with symptoms may not attend.
- Masks will be provided and encouraged to be worn.
