About Lilydale & Yarra Valley Show 2019
Welcome to the 66th Lilydale & Yarra Valley Show!! We always hold our Show on the third weekend in November and dates this year are Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th. The Show has a strong focus on Agriculture and Horticulture whilst supporting our local community and businesses.
We hold strong competitions in Cookery, Craft, Needlework, Art, Photography, Wool, Horticulture, Victorian Scottish Dancing (Sunday), Highland Dancing (Saturday), Sheep (Saturday) and Poultry (Saturday). We have many classes available for children to enter and display their work. Horse events, both led and ridden run on both days. We are pleased to announce that this year will see a Yarra Valley Young Farmers Livestock Challenge on Sunday. We also will be running an Alpaca Section and Display on Sunday.
Our Melba Park area is our family and community area. Come along and see the animal nursery or the reptile display. We have donkey rides and sheep dog trials and lots of fun activities for the kids including roving entertainers. You can watch the CFA and SES cut up a car or go through the smokehouse. The Melba Park stage runs free entertainment both days including music and fabulous displays. On Sunday our Talent Quest is a fantastic example of our local artists. It’s a great place to sit and take a break with your family.
We have a fun-filled carnival with rides, games, sideshows and showbags. Woodchop competitions will run both days as well. In our Youth Club you can find education displays, a fantastic Meccano display and Lego Display. There are plenty of food vendors and local businesses for you to visit.
Our main oval holds dog obedience (Saturday) and dog flyball (Sunday). There are also some fun family activities including Aussie Sports Activation. We are very pleased to announce that Dog High Jump will run again. It will be held on Sunday at 11am.
From 4pm Saturday we head into twilight entertainment. Live entertainment playing from 6pm and it all finishes off with a fantastic fireworks display at 9pm

TICKETING NOTES:
- Child ticket applies to children aged 5-14yrs. Children 4yrs and under are free and do not require a ticket.
- Concession/Student ticket holders: please present your valid Senior, Pensioner or Student card on entry.
- Family ticket holders: please ensure all family members arrive as one group upon entry
