The Longreach Yellowbelly Fishing Classic is a popular annual event set on the banks of the mighty Thomson River.  This is a family friendly catch and releases fishing event jam packed with fun, entertainment and competitions for all ages.  Camp at Longreach Regional Council’s adjacent caravan park or anywhere along the banks of the Thomson River.  Great food vendors and bar are available all weekend.  Free kids entertainment from 3 pm Saturday until dusk.  Live entertainment Saturday night.  Two $5,000 random cash prize drawers for registered adult tickets Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime.
