This is the night to see Secrets of the Kimberley and the short film entries, and award winning entries in the 2019 Mud and Saltwater Short Film Fest.

Secrets of the Kimberley has won an international award, however hasn’t been screened in the Kimberley previously.

Sun Pictures in Broome’s historic Chinatown is the perfect location to screen short films about Roebuck Bay, Broome and the Kimberley region. With the Kimberley region rugged, scenic and rich in cultural values, there are plenty of fascinating, and at times, hilarious and perilous stories to be relived through short films.

Independent filmmakers from the Kimberley region are the heart and soul of the Film Fest, which has become exceptionally popular with the local community and visitors to the region with sell-out screening events each year during the Shinju Matsuri Festival.
