About Hidden Histories, Untold Stories
Three literary luminaries – Hannah Kent, Larissa Behrendt and Jackie Huggins – come together for engrossing discussion about overlooked histories and untold stories. In her exquisitely written historical fictions, Hannah brings to life characters who have been unable to narrate their own stories. Larissa’s compassionate and compelling novels reveal the way stories offer a bridge between the past and present, especially when those links have been damaged by the legacies of colonialism. Jackie Huggins AM is an Aboriginal advocate, historian and feminist, whose ground-breaking essays and research bring the overlooked experiences of Aboriginal people to light.
