About Homelands, Heartlands, Between Lands
Immerse yourself in words and music as an electric line-up of writers take to the stage, their words woven together by musician and producer Kuya James (aka James Mangohig). Featuring Victoria Alondra, Evelyn Araluen, Rain Chudori, Léuli Eshrāghi, Dina Indrasafitri, Alice Pung, Christopher Raja and Omar Sakr, this night is devoted to writings on connection and disconnection — to place, homelands and ancestral countries.
Please be advised that, due to travel restrictions, neither Alice Pung nor Omar Sakr will be appearing at this event in person. Both writers will record readings, which will be interwoven into this event. We are delighted to announce that local poet Laurie May is now joining the line-up!
