About Lighting the Way – Decolonising Cultural Institutions

Throughout history, museums, universities, galleries and other cultural institutions have been embedded in colonial structures that have othered, excluded or objectified a range of cultures and peoples. In this insightful discussion, three powerful First Nations thinkers working in cultural and intellectual organisations today discuss how to decolonise research and institutions to ensure they centre and engage respectfully with First Nations and diverse cultures.

Featuring: Genevieve Grieves, Yvette Holt and Jackie Huggins

Facilitator: Adelle Sefton-Rowston
