Each Odyssey night is a journey,. With DJs and live performers who are maestros of their genres, skilled in weaving together sounds that keep the audience engaged and excited. The environment is more than just a party—it's a place of discovery and connection. Attendees are not just spectators but participants in a musical expedition that spans continents and eras.
Our special guest this time is Cara Murphy.
Cara has been a familiar face on dancefloors in the Melbourne House Music scene for over 20 years, falling in love with Classic House in local haunts such as Q Bar and OneLove at POW then quickly evolving her music taste into multiple genres including deep, melodic and progressive sounds.
Through the lockdown era she rekindled her love of DJing, releasing mixes on SoundCloud which gained attention from local bookers and saw her start out in club land in Melbourne. In 2021 Cara also won a spot in the UK Embark DJs inbox program which saw her be able to create mixes for radio shows abroad. gaining a monthly residency playing organic/progressive house for AATM radio UK.
Since her first club gig in May 2021 Cara has risen quickly, now holding multiple residencies across Melbourne including Onesixone nightclub which she now calls home - Thursday and Saturday night weekly.
Career highlights so far include:
Supported some amazing artists such as Anthony Pappa, Low Steppa, MANDY, Lo'99, Luuk Van Dijk, MK, Sasha, Monkey Safari and Angelo Ferreri.
Performed at both the Defected and Glitterbox 2022 & 2024 Melbourne shows.
Performed at Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 for an all Australian showcase.
Awarded Music Victoria's Best DJ 2023.
