About Re-collecting the past
Our present is in constant conversation with the past and, yet, the telling of history is full of gaps and elisions. How do we recollect stories forgotten by most of society? How do we comb for the traces and fragments of histories that lie outside dominant narratives? Can books add to and offer a more complete picture of the past? Join four brilliant writers for a conversation about re-writing and recovering under represented or mistold stories and histories, and about the ongoing dialogue that occurs between past and present, history and our current identity.
