About SilverFox Films Premiere Screening Fundraising Event
Award-Winning Films to Premiere at Tanks Arts Centre in Support of New FNQ Historical Action/Thriller
Cairns, Far North QLD — A red-carpet double-feature film event will take place at Tanks Arts Centre on Saturday, 11 April 2026, showcasing two internationally recognised Australian films: Deep Red Water, Grand Jury Award Winner of Best Short Film at the 2024 New York International Film Awards, and The Night Flyers, awarded Winner of Best Horror Film at the 2025 NYIFA.
The event will raise funds for an upcoming cinematic project, John the Revelator, inspired by the unsolved 1819 Rail Motor train robbery—a unique Queensland mystery long buried in FNQ folklore.
Filmmakers, actors, industry representatives, and film lovers will gather for an immersive foyer experience featuring a red carpet, media wall, black-and-gold balloon installation, and exclusive behind-the-scenes displays. Attendees will enjoy screenings, a live Q&A session, and fundraising activities including a silent auction and raffle.
Tickets are $100, with all proceeds supporting the production of the official John the Revelator trailer. The event is expected to attract strong media interest and a sell-out crowd.
Red Carpet / Formal Event with canapes and champagne on arrival.
