About Rocket Launch

A historical moment for Australia and South Australia when Southern Launch, DEWC systems and T-Minus Engineering will launch Australia’s first commercial, space capable rockets from the Koonibba Test Range near Ceduna.

Due to COVID we request members of the public reconsider their potential attendance. Should you decide to come and view the launch there will be limited availability at the public viewing area operated by the Koonibba Aboriginal Community. This location will offer a safe location with the best view of the launch pad. Limited public vehicles will be allowed on the day into the Koonibba Community and the public will be advised where to park upon entering the Koonibba township. Traffic marshals will safely direct cars off the Eyre Highway at the Koonibba township turnoff. Members of the public will be escorted to an area where a bus will shuttle them to the viewing area.

All visitors MUST sign into this event prior to entry.

Please be aware that each of the rocket launch events could be brought forward, delayed, cancelled, or postponed to another day by Southern Launch at short notice. We will provide updates via our website and social media pages.

Any public areas will be operated in strict accordance with SA Health Guidelines as per https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/ and Koonibba Community requirements.
