About Goulburn Spring Gardens
Eight beautiful gardens, displaying the best of spring in Goulburn and surrounds.
Our Invitation
After the great success of our inaugural event last year, we would like to invite you to attend the second 'Goulburn Spring Gardens' event, being held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October this year.
Goulburn was first settled in the 1820s and declared Australia's first inland city in 1863. Its rich history has left a legacy of gracious residences with their accompanying lovely gardens.
We are delighted to share 8 gardens with you over the course of the weekend, many of which are opening to the public for the first time. There will be a mixture of town and country gardens, within both historic and modern settings. They are bound to offer inspiration and enjoyment for garden visitors.
This event is brought to you by the Southern Tablelands Open Gardens Association Incorporated (STOGA), a registered charity, established to raise awareness of the beauty and important heritage of Goulburn and the surrounding Southern Tablelands region. Event Hub – Saint Saviour’s Cathedral Hall
This year’s Event Hub will be at the historic Saint Saviour’s Cathedral Hall, 170 Bourke Street, Goulburn. Garden tickets will be available there, together with plant stalls, Devonshire teas and coffees, light lunches, a History Society stall providing information on Goulburn’s rich heritage, and select stalls promoting local arts, ceramics and crafts. Bathroom facilities will also be available.
Cathedral Tours – Tours of Saint Saviour’s Cathedral Bell Tower and of Saint Peter and Paul’s Old Cathedral building will also be available. For more information, please see www.stoga.org.au/goulburn-spring-gardens
The Gardens
The 2026 offering includes seven new gardens, and a returning favourite from our inaugural 2025 event, ‘Rossiville Homestead’.
Two of the gardens, Rossiville Homestead and Wollogorang, represent fine examples of the traditional gardens on the many large historical estates in the Goulburn area.
Two other gardens illustrate what different but equally inspiring results hard work, and a little creativity, can achieve on a city block amid Goulburn’s streets. Another demonstrates how very keen gardeners and tree lovers have transformed five acres of poor soil with limited water into a parkland of young trees interspersed with large garden beds full of colour and texture (and the odd folly).
One of our open gardens is a large native garden, a haven for animals and birds, which sits on a lovely hill-side property with outstanding rural views. Quite close by, on the plains below, is a lovely restful country garden full of exotic plants and trees, which was developed as a family haven from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The eighth garden, sitting atop a windswept hill on a large working cattle stud, was developed over many years by a very dedicated gardener with a passion for flowers and garden colour.

Please be aware that there are no toilets available for Visitors in the gardens. Bathroom facilities will be available at the Event Hub, and you can consult the Australian Government's National Public Toilet Map for available public toilets in Goulburn.
Tickets
Tickets are $25 per person for all gardens.
Groups of 15 or more are entitled to a 20% discount (ie. $20 per person) for an All Gardens ticket.
Tickets for single gardens will be $5, payable at each garden.
Children under 18 are free when accompanied by a ticket holder.
