About ‘Peter and the Wolf’ Matinee | 6 SEP

SPAT is delighted to present this classic work by Serjei Prokofiev.

A narrator tells the famous folk tale of Peter and the Wolf while the orchestra represents each character in the story using different instruments and identifying themes. Wollongong Conservatorium’s Mikaela Wu will conduct the chamber orchestra which features musicians from both SPAT and the Conservatorium.

Add actors and puppets on stage and you are in for a magical treat!

This is a performance that provides a wonderful introduction to the orchestra and will be enjoyed by one and all. And for young people, and there might even be some puppet making opportunities after the show!
