About RISE

RISE is the culmination of a play-writing competition conducted by SPAT. We are very proud to present the three winning entries on Saturday 17^th August which were selected by a panel of experienced directors.

They will be performed as rehearsed readings, on stage with scripts in hand.

The three plays are:

‘The Best Medicine’  by Leo Metzker

‘Hubert’  by William York

‘Winfale Park’  by Dell Brand

SPAT is very proud to support emerging writers and to premiere performances of their plays. Not only does the evening provide an opportunity to showcase new works, it also allows a unique opportunity to discuss the scripts with the authors in a Q&A session.

We are looking forward to an informal and relaxed night, and of course refreshments will be provided!
