About JB Paterson / Tin Town (support)

JB Paterson

JB Paterson is a critically acclaimed folk musician from Cedar Creek, QLD, Australia. Compared to greats like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Townes Van Zandt, he has forged a highly DIY career, running his own off-grid studio in the countryside of Greater Brisbane. With three self-produced albums under his belt, receiving heavy rotation on Australian radio stations, his storytelling and raw musicianship have taken him across the country, playing intimate shows and festival stages alike. As an independent artist, he continues to craft timeless songs, and will continue to do so for a long time.

Tin Town

Tin Town is the new collaboration between Australian artists Courtney Robb and Snooks La Vie. As a wife-and-husband duo, they make grounded folk-country music rooted in unfiltered storytelling — vulnerable, intentional songs that don’t need to raise their voice to be heard. Robb’s textured vocals carry the weight of the lyrics with quiet honesty, while La Vie’s harmonica moves between melancholy and bite, adding colour, movement and mood. Valuing space and emotional truth over polish, Tin Town’s music feels like real life: a little weathered, a little tender, and always authentic.

After playing together for several years, the duo officially join forces under the name Tin Town, inspired by the Port Adelaide Wool Stores Heritage Precinct they now call home. Their debut album Down in the Dirt is out now, featuring eleven original tracks recorded with producer Ryan Martin John and an all-star band, blending folk, country and blues — best enjoyed with a glass of red and nowhere to be.
