She has collaborated and sung on albums with the award winning New Mexico based CW Ayon, Texas based Mississippi Blues duo Old Gray Mule, The Yearlings most recent album ‘All the Wandering’, been featured on the AMC Yesterday’s Heroes Album with Rob Riley (Rose Tattoo), and sung live with award winning songwriter Kelly Menhennett and Wisconsin based Hayward Williams amongst others. She performs in the Jen Lush band and is an active guitar educator in addition to her own projects.
Laura Hill
Winner of the People’s Choice Folk award in the 2018 South Australian Music Awards, 'Secrets' gently unwraps Laura's beautiful gift as a songwriter. She writes whimsical songs with intriguing intimacy, full of love and purpose. With hints of youthful wisdom Laura’s song writing is matched with a stunning clarity and tone to create a beautiful soundscape.
Laura’s newest studio album ‘Secrets’ infinitely defines her stunning sound. Her fourth studio recording, it demonstrates a deviation from the somewhat laid back demeanour of her earlier albums Guava Tree and Blue Skies and greatly compliments her best selling solo release Powdered Sunshine from 2014. The songs here are emotionally raw, painfully honest and yet threaded with a singular bright positivity... swung from the heartfelt letter that didn't get through, to ballads of stargazing, shoe-gazing and road-tripping.
