About Farmgate Festival
The Farmgate Festival showcases fifteen Tasmanian farms and their produce over two days in early spring. Enjoy a self-drive tour of the stunning Tamar Valley visiting a selection of farms that produce beef, apples, pork, hazelnuts, wine, cider, truffles, seafood, salads and herbs, olive oil, berries and more. Tasting and sales are available on the day. Find out more about the festival farms by viewing their profiles online or downloading a festival planner.
Why not attend the Festival Feast featuring local produce, food and drink selected from the Festival Farms?
An exclusive dining event will feature standout Tasmanian chefs and creators of cuisine during the Festival. Join us in a celebration of the exceptional produce grown here in the Tamar Valley and regional northern Tasmania.
On Saturday 25th November, guest chef Massimo Mele will create a feast worthy of Tamar produce, at Timbre Kitchen, owned by Tasmanian chef Matthew Adams, in the heart of the valley at Legana. Join us for a three course meal with matching wines.
Van Diemen Aquaculture Tours must be booked prior to arrival and are limited to 12 people. Allow 1.5hrs for the tour.
