Becoming a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) formalizes that commitment. It holds us accountable to the highest global standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and ethics - ensuring that every event ticket sold through Ticketebo helps create a more sustainable future.

What does being a B Corp mean?

B Corps are businesses that balance purpose with profit.

To achieve certification, organisations undergo a rigorous assessment across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.

Certification is awarded to businesses committed to operating for the benefit of all stakeholders — not just shareholders.

For us, B Corp certification recognises that how we ticket events is just as important as the events themselves.

Ticketebo's Environmental and Sustainability Journey

At Ticketebo, we care deeply about the planet. We believe it’s our responsibility to ensure that the way we run our business leaves the world better than we found it.

This matters even more in the events industry, where gatherings of thousands of people are rarely low-carbon occasions. We recognised this early on and committed to supporting and inspiring our organisers to deliver events with reduced carbon footprints.

Step 1: Carbon Neutral Certification

Our first milestone was to make sure every product and service we deliver is certified carbon neutral.

We achieved this, and continue to undergo rigorous third-party certification audits to ensure our footprint is accurately measured and verified.

Alongside this, we’re delivering a program of change across our business and supply chain to continuously reduce our emissions. For any remaining footprint, we purchase carbon offsets in recognised Verified Carbon Standard projects to negate this impact.

Step 2: Going Beyond Offsets

But we wanted to go further. We recognised that businesses can remain large emitters and still claim carbon neutrality by simply paying to offset their footprint.

That didn’t feel ambitious enough for us - so we created Trees for Change, our way of delivering positive impact, not just neutralising harm.

Ticketebo’s Trees for Change Program

Through our tree planting program, every SMS paperless ticket order plants up to three trees in world-class reforestation projects we have hand selected with our tree planting partner Veritree (a fellow B Corp).

These trees restore ecosystems, capture carbon for decades to come, and provide real benefits for the communities who care for them.

By 2028, the program will have funded the planting of more than 500,000 trees: and we are well ahead of schedule.

Step 3: Becoming a Certified B Corporation

Our decision to become a B Corp was the natural next step on this journey. Certification recognises Ticketebo as a business that uses its operations as a force for good — while also providing a framework for continual improvement.

We know we’re not perfect, but B Corp gives us the roadmap and accountability to keep becoming a better business across every part of our impact: environment, people, community, and customers.

Environmental Sustainability Policy: Our Road Ahead

Our journey is ongoing.

We will continue reducing emissions, supporting organisers and patrons to make lower-carbon choices, and proving that ticketing can be good for events, good for people, and good for the planet.

By 2030, Ticketebo will achieve Net Zero - meaning we will have reduced our emissions across every part of our operations as close to zero as possible, and permanently removed any remaining unavoidable emissions through verified carbon removal projects.

It’s an ambitious goal, but one that reflects our belief that businesses can operate successfully while restoring the planet they depend on.
