Friday kicks off the festivities with a bang — quite literally!
After a packed day of show events, the afternoon heats up with heart-stopping aerial motorbike stunts, followed by the much-anticipated WINSEC Fireworks Spectacular lighting up the night sky.This Friday night entertainment is a major drawcard for families and thrill-seekers alike. Throughout the showgrounds, there's a fantastic array of attractions to enjoy all day long. The Food Court is a popular hub, serving up everything from hearty country fare to sweet show treats. Whether you're after a quick bite or something to savour, there’s a flavour for everyone.
Kids and animal lovers alike will be delighted by the Animals of Oz reptile display — a hands-on, educational experience that’s as fun as it is fascinating. Our beloved Animal Nursery also returns, filled with cuddly baby animals and curious young critters that are always a hit with families. The horse program on Friday features an impressive display of equestrian talent, followed by Saturday’s Working Equitation events — a unique showcase of skill, style and horsemanship.
Saturday is also a big day in the livestock arenas, with a full lineup of alpacas, sheep, cattle, and a wide array of poultry — a true celebration of the region’s agricultural strength and diversity. Back by popular demand is the always-entertaining Dog High Jump, sure to raise a few tails and plenty of cheers from the crowd. Add to that live music throughout the weekend, and you've got a truly festive atmosphere to enjoy. No country show is complete without a trip through the Craft Pavilion, where the local community's talents shine. Wander through displays of horticulture, sewing, knitting, preserves, baking, and more — a warm and colourful tribute to the creativity and passion of our local makers.
