About The Winter Queen | SATURDAY 29 JAN | Evening

Colourful costumes, music and slapstick comedy will return to the Williamstown Memorial Hall in January 2022, when the Williamstown Amateur Players present their pantomime “The Winter Queen”.

The Winter Queen ……... Princess Sunbeam is promised to Prince Autumn but the evil Winter Queen wants him for her husband. Will the Queen capture the Prince and his heart? Her evil plan looks like it may work but will her cold and frosty disposition guarantee that she is destined to be on her own forever? Maybe an unlikely hero will save the day?

“The Winter Queen” has been written and directed by Margie Richards and audiences can expect a show filled with fun, laughter and audience participation. Audiences are encouraged to boo the Baddies and cheer the Goodies. The show is for all ages, not only for children, and it is sure to be loved by the young and the young at heart.

What started as a local fundraising activity 40 years ago, has become a tradition in the Barossa, attracting audiences from far & wide. Over the years the Williamstown Amateur Players continue to support various charities and the local Community. The proceeds from the last production purchased new outdoor furniture for the local aged care facility Wirraminna Care Inc.

Our Interval catering this year will be supplied by the Williamstown Action Group as a fundraiser for local community events. Eftpos will be available as well as cash.

Our Seniors Only mid-week shows are aimed at Seniors groups, aged care facilities, retirement villages and the like with a light afternoon tea included in your ticket price.

Of course you can keep up to date with us by following our Facebook page.

So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets, come along and join the cast as they take you on a journey of fun, laughter and entertainment.
