It's back to the days of Drive-Ins but we're not showing ‘Back to the Future’! This is about having LIVE blues music which many of us have been severely missing!

We have a fabulous and diverse line-up of local musical acts:

Kevin Borich Express - this guy needs no introduction as he is a rock god and the band perform at many festivals

Vix & the Slick Chix - well known in SE Qld for their blues, funk, soul & rock music having played at numerous festivals and regularly appear at Rick's Garage & the Maleny Hotel

The Spirit Blues Band - ran the Woombye Blues Club for a number of years & performed at the inaugural Maleny Festival which became the current Woodford Festival

Accidentally on Purpose - Maleny High School girl uke band who have performed at Rick's Garage in Palmwoods & at the Blues Mountains Uke Festival in February 2020

Maleny Showgrounds is the location, the date is Saturday 18th July and it will commence at 5.00pm and run through to approximately 9.15pm. 

The Rotary Club of Maleny is very excited to support these local musicians who haven't received any income for months now. It will give the local community of Maleny a big boost, as all profits will go to our Community Grants scheme which provides support to many local organisations.

Not only is it a drive-in, but to keep our musicians warm on these typically cold Maleny winter nights, they will perform on the stage in the pavillion. This, then allows for a limited number of people to be seated at tables indoors. 

There will be a large screen out on the oval which will live stream the musicians’ performances and people will be able to tune into our FM frequency on their car radios.

On arrival, depending on your ticket, you will be shown to either a parking area for indoor patrons or to your car spot if you’re staying outside.

To meet current social distance ruling, we prefer you to remain in your vehicle unless going to the toilets or visiting the coffee stop where you will be able to purchase hot drinks, soft drinks and water.

The Maleny Hotel will provide yummy hot food which will be delivered to both tables and vehicles by a pre-ordering method. The licensed bar inside will only be for people seated indoors. Under no circumstances are people permitted to buy alcohol inside and then go outside.

Ticket prices are $25 per person inside or a table of 6 for $120, which is the preferred option, due to complying with social distancing restrictions from Qld Health Dept. Vehicles will be charged $50 each regardless of the number of people seated inside. No need to hide people in the boots as in the old days of the drive-in movies!
