About THE ARNOLD ULTIMATE STRENGTH SUMMIT

Do you have an interest in improving your strength, functional movement and lifting? Then don’t miss the inaugural Arnold Ultimate Strength Summit!

Run in conjunction with the Arnold Sports Festival Australia, it’s your chance to hear and interact with four of the foremost authorities on lifting, injury prevention and rehabilitation in the world! Join Ed Coan, Andrew Lock, Sebastian Oreb, and Stephanie Cohen as they lead you through the theory, practice and unique insights into the secrets of gaining strength, and in particular – an in-depth breakdown of the three key power lifts: Squat, Bench and Deadlift

If you have any interest in the science, technique, injury rehabilitation and fundamental requirements of lifting heavy - then this is a unique opportunity not to be missed!!

Key Speakers:

Ed Coan

Ed Coan is widely regarded as the greatest powerlifter of all time. He has set over 71 world records in powerlifting and became the lightest person to cross the 2,400 lb. barrier in the powerlifting total (a sum of three lifts: the deadlift, bench, and squat). He set an all-time powerlifting record total at 2,463 pounds, even though at the time he was not in the heaviest weight class.

Ed returns to Australia to provide his unique insight into the key requirements of what it’s like, and what is needed to become a better and stronger lifter.

Sebastian Oreb

Sebastian Oreb is one of the most highly experienced and sought after strength coaches for elite athletes and trainers both in Australia and around the world. With an impressive list of names in his repertoire of clients ( including current World Strongest Man Hafthor Bjornsson), Sebastian has helped his athletes achieve outstanding results to take them to the next level in their chosen sports. He is also a gym owner and competing powerlifter. Quite simply though, he is known as the go-to-guy to get strong.

Sebastian has an eye for detail when it comes to knowing how the body should move. His training programs and methodology focus on getting his athletes strong and improving performance, but it is his balanced approach to programming and impeccable technique that also allows him to recondition and rehabilitate his athletes by correcting any dysfunction of movement.

There is no doubt he is great at getting people strong, but his best skill is getting people who are already very strong, even stronger!

Andrew Lock

Andrew is one of the World’s most sought-after rehab professionals for athletes and strength coaches alike. He has advised and consulted with a diverse range of athletes including members of the Australian Cricket Team, Major League Baseball, Professional Bodybuilders, various football codes, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors, MMA professionals, and athletes in all Strength Sports.  Andrew’s last two decades focused on work with strength rehabilitation in spine and shoulder issues, and his seminar series with Australian Strength Coach ( and fellow Summit speaker ) Sebastian Oreb on the three power lifts ( Squat, Bench and Deadlift ) have sold out across both Australia and around the world.

Andrew holds a masters degree in Physiotherapy from University of Melbourne and is a Post-Graduate spinal researcher and author in strength rehabilitation. He is currently is President of the Australian Strength Scientists Association (ASSA) and continues to compete in Bench Press competitions where he is a Masters World Record Holder.

Stefanie Cohen

Stefanie Cohen is pound for pound one of the strongest woman on the planet, and known around the world as one of the strongest female powerlifters in history. Stefanie’s personal best deadlift is an incredible 501 lbs. Given she is only feet tall and weighs 121 lbs, this lift is four times her body weight – something that no woman before Stefanie has ever achieved. She also holds the APA deadlift world record for 402lbs deadlift for her weight division.

Stefanie also has an extensive list of achievements in the a range of different sports. She was the Florida and Illinois senior state Olympic Weightlifting gold medalist and prior to participating in strength sports, was an accomplished NCAA (D1) Soccer Player for San Diego State and was also a member of the U17 Venezuelan National Soccer Team.

She is also very accomplished in the academic field with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, a degree in Exercise Physiology and Sports medicine, is a Certified Strength and Conditional Specialist (CSCS), and an NCSF Certified Personal Trainer
Stefanie brings a unique blend of first hand practical experience and extensive academic knowledge to her presentation and has combined all the best aspects of powerlifting, bodybuilding, and weightlifting to create her own training style, which she calls “hybrid training.”

The motto of this type of training, as Stefanie says, is “to move like a weightlifter, look like a bodybuilder, and lift like a powerlifter.”
